Anshay Tull is a Pocomoke City, Maryland native. She graduated from the University of Maryland
Eastern Shore (UMES) in Princess Anne, MD with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in
2005; and will graduate with a Masters of Education in Counselor Education School Program (K-12) this
fall November 2020. Anshay worked as Social Service Case Manager for the Department of Families &
Children Services for the State of Georgia from 2006 to 2013. In 2014 she returned to her Alma Mater,
UMES where she works as an Admissions Counselor & Recruiter for the Office of Admissions &
Recruitment. Anshay has a heart for children struggling with childhood bullying so in 2011 she founded
Project Hygiene, Inc., a 501 ©3 Non-Profit that provides toiletries and promotes healthy hygiene while
denouncing bullying to youth; and in her spare time she helps to organize bullying prevention awareness
initiates. Working in Higher Education Anshay has many roles that consist of mentoring, advocating for
First-Time Generation students and assisting students through the college admissions process. Anshay
is a member of the Princess Anne Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; the 3rd Vice
President of UMES National Alumni Association; a member of the Maryland School Counselors
Association; a member of the American School Counselor Association and a member of the Potomac &
Chesapeake Association of College Admission Counseling where she was the 2020 PCACAC Admissions
Counselor of the year.
